The synagogue sanctuary has some beautiful accoutrements. Above the ark is a Hebrew phrase from Psalms 16:8, "Sh'viti Adoshem L'negdi tamid." ("I am always aware of the Lord's presence.")The stained glass panels on the side of the ark were designed by congregant Pat Solomon. Pomegranates are featured in the panels as well as in the Eternal Light above the Ark. This motif was also used as decoration on the robes of priests in the sanctuary when the Israelites were travelling in the desert as described in the biblical book of Exodus. The wheat in the panels is symbolic of the early sacrifices offered in the Temple; the blue horizontal stripes are reminiscent of the stripes on the tallit; and the Jewish star represents the House of David, the coming of the Messiah, and the re-building of the Temple in Jerusalem. The exterior windows and administrative offices are now adorned with beautiful stained glass windows as well.
